About The Position
Provides effective physical therapy care in area of specialty practice. Participates in learner-centered instructional activities in clinical, academic or community settings. Participates in scholarly activities that enhance professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy
- Current Florida Physical Therapy license OR temporary Physical Therapist permit with the requirement of obtaining valid Florida Physical Therapy license within 60 days of date of hire/transfer. During this time, the physical therapist resident must be under the direct supervision of a supervising licensed physical therapist while providing patient care
- BLS or ACLS from American Heart Association
- less than 1 year patient care experience, experience gained in school during clinical rotations is acceptable
- Clinical reasoning & critical thinking
- Interprofessional communication skillls, including verbal and written
- Fine motor coordination, manual dexterity and psychomotor skills
- Time management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
