About The Position

The Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented orthopedic rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic injuries. The physical therapy team members report to the rehabilitation team leader as part of the OSU Sports Medicine & Rehab program structure. The Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident works under the general supervision of the Sports Rehab Team Leader and under direct supervision of the Team Leader responsible for coordinating education. The Physical Therapy Resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, staff physical therapists, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.

Requirements

  • All Physical Therapy Residents must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.
