About The Position

Job Purpose: Be the friendly face of technology for our residents and Angels. As a Resident & Member IT Technician, you’ll provide hands-on tech support, training, and education to help older adults stay connected and confident with their devices. You’ll troubleshoot issues, teach everyday tech skills, and make technology feel accessible and empowering for everyone in our community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree—or equivalent IT experience—preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience providing technology support or training, ideally in a customer-facing or senior living environment.
  • Working knowledge of personal devices, Wi-Fi connectivity, and software troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, with patience and empathy for varying technology comfort levels.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple requests independently.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Completion of a TB test or chest X-ray as required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident IT work orders and provide timely, helpful assistance.
  • Offer one-on-one support, remote help desk service, and scheduled “office hours” for residents.
  • Set up and troubleshoot devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, printers, and streaming devices.
  • Provide technology training, including monthly classes, personalized coaching, and small group sessions.
  • Support residents during move-ins and move-outs, assisting with Wi-Fi, phones, and device connections.
  • Help maintain and upgrade hardware, software, and internet connections as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and outside vendors to resolve issues and ensure quality service.
  • Track service requests, maintain documentation, and process billing records for resident tech support.
  • Assist with community systems such as phones and televisions, coordinating with providers when needed.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, Angels, and staff by providing patient, respectful, and clear communication.
