About The Position

The primary function of the Resident Life Director is to direct the development and implementation of the Resident Life and Community Ambassador programs within the community. These programs have been designed to serve the purpose of aiding residents in their personal, social and academic development, as well as create a community atmosphere free from distractions and conducive to fostering friendships. They will also work actively to increase resident satisfaction and retention within the community by differentiating and providing a superior experience-oriented product in the competitive off-campus student housing marketplace.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Exposure to operations and marketing in a business environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement a Student Development-based Residence Life Program
  • Supervise, train, support and provide leadership to Community Ambassadors
  • Creating a positive environment that enhances the residential experience
  • Building and maintaining relationships with campus and community resources
  • Promoting and emphasizing outstanding customer service through staff training and on-going job performance evaluations
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Also assist the Community Manager and other managers with the everyday operation of the property, including working during evenings and weekends on a rotating basis
