Resident Field Service Technician
About The Position
RION Equipment is looking for a Resident Field Service Technician who is responsible for performing, with minimal supervision, the full maintenance, diagnosis and service repair at a customer's site or in a field environment on products serviced by RION Equipment. This position is servicing customers in the Columbus area so preferr candidate lives within a 30 min commute to Columbus. In addition, this job assists in developing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers by creating a trusting relationship, thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty. Removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, and performs failure analysis of all equipment, including engines, attachments, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, and electronic and computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- Able to repair, or replace major system components, including circuit boards and other electrical parts, hydraulic, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering and transmissions, engines with limited supervision.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose most truck components
- Perform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervision
- Perform proper PMs in a timely manner
- Be able to troubleshoot and repair most complex electrical systems on IC and electric trucks
