Residence Hall Director
About The Position
Full time, professional, academic staff live-in position. This is an emergency hire for the 2026 spring semester and the successful candidate may apply for the permanent position search to be conducted in the spring. The person selected for this position will be responsible for overall operation of a residence hall, supervision of undergraduate resident assistants, and front desk staff. Duties include programming, discipline, counseling, staff selection and training, advising hall government, committee responsibilities, supervision of front desk operations including food and beverage sales, and coordination of housekeeping and maintenance services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- previous experience in residence life

- Master’s Degree in student personnel or related field

Responsibilities
- Receives and responds to crisis and student conduct situations according to established policies and procedures
- Serves as a main point of contact for resident support providing mediation and resolution of personal and facility issues
- May supervise the day-to-day activities of students and/or professional staff and assist with the personnel management allocation plan including hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation
- Plans, implements, and evaluates student programs and initiatives for residence life
