About The Position
A full-time Researcher position is available in the Echocardiography Core Lab at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, and College of Medicine located in Hershey, PA. The Echo Core Lab, led by Director (interim) Michael Pfeiffer, provides central analysis and data review for transthoracic, transesophageal, and intracardiac echocardiography imaging in multiple national and international clinical trials including two NIH-funded studies. The lab also supports internal research work at Penn State. A background of experience in all echocardiography imaging modalities, as well as basic echocardiography measurements for clinical or research work is required. Specifically, proficiency with 2D, Doppler and volumetric measurements are necessary. Experience with strain analysis is preferable.
Requirements
- MD (or equivalent) at the time of hire.
- 3 years’ experience as a clinical cardiologist or cardiology researcher involving echocardiography analysis.
- Proficiency with 2D, Doppler and volumetric measurements
