About The Position
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a candidate for a Research Technologist- Life Sciences (Professional) in the laboratory of Prof. Song Tan in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: express proteins and protein complexes in E. coli purify proteins, protein complexes and protein/DNA complexes using low pressure and high performance chromatography analyze proteins and protein/DNA complexes by electrophoresis, spectroscopy, immunoassays and enzyme activity assays maintain written and electronic laboratory records assist with ordering laboratory supplies maintain laboratory equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
Responsibilities
- express proteins and protein complexes in E. coli
