About The Position

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a candidate for a Research Technologist- Life Sciences (Professional) in the laboratory of Prof. Song Tan in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • express proteins and protein complexes in E. coli • purify proteins, protein complexes and protein/DNA complexes using low pressure and high performance chromatography • analyze proteins and protein/DNA complexes by electrophoresis, spectroscopy, immunoassays and enzyme activity assays • maintain written and electronic laboratory records • assist with ordering laboratory supplies • maintain laboratory equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
