About The Position

Design and conduct population-based and health services research addressing cancer prevention, screening, and survivorship. Participate in and help lead clinical trials, including pragmatic and implementation trials focused on behavioral interventions, care delivery, and health outcomes. Utilize clinical, claims, registry, and EHR data to evaluate patterns of care, quality, and disparities. Develop and test interventions to improve screening uptake, care coordination, or survivorship outcomes. Lead and contribute to grant applications (e.g., R01, U01, or equivalent) as PI, co-I, or site lead. Publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific meetings. Collaborate with investigators across UF Health, the UFHCC, and statewide research networks. Mentor research staff, trainees, and students in population sciences, outcomes research, and trial methodology. Ensure compliance with UF, federal, and sponsor research standards.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD, or equivalent) in epidemiology, public health, health services research, or a related population science discipline.
  • Demonstrated research experience in cancer prevention, population health, or clinical trials.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and writing skills

  • Record of peer-reviewed publications in population health, health services, or cancer prevention.
  • Experience managing or contributing to multi-site or pragmatic clinical trials.
  • Expertise with EHR, registry, or linked datasets.
  • Evidence of collaboration across programs, departments, or institutions.
  • Experience mentoring trainees or staff in research methods.
