Job Summary The Ciolino Lab at Schepens Eye Research Institute is a multidisciplinary research group that performs basic, translational, and clinical research investigating a variety of corneal diseases. The Postdoctoral Research Associate who will conduct researching the area of corneal wound healing. The postdoc will investigate molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in cell-cell communication between the different corneal layers. More specifically, they will investigate the role of extracellular vesicles in corneal wound healing and determine if extracellular vesicles can be “loaded” with certain “cargo” (i.e. growth factors, cytokines, or drugs) that would be useful as therapeutics to promote healing with minimal generation of scar forming myofibroblasts.
