The Department of Physiology and Biophysics Research is seeking a Research Associate 3 to work full-time, on-site in Miami. The Research Associate 3 supports research activities under the direction of a principal investigator, program director or designee of the principal investigator or program director. The incumbent assumes responsibility for the design and performance of research focused on the development of novel experimental therapies for human malignancies. This individual contributes to collaborations with scientists within the University of Miami or elsewhere and works as part of a team, assisting with the maintenance of laboratory equipment, protocols, and supplies. The Research Associate Level 3 will play a key role in the research activities of Department of Physiology and Biophysics related to structural biology of GPCRs. Responsibilities include conducting experiments using cultured cells and recombinant proteins, culturing cell lines for in vitro experiments, including functional assays, and performing protein purification and studying recombinant proteins and their complexes by CryoEM, advancing research on neuroscience and therapeutic strategies.
