About The Position

The research assistant will provide administrative and research support for a Spring 2026 physical therapy research project titled, “Exploration of Physical Therapists' Integration of Social Determinants of Health in Clinical Practice.” Duties and responsibilities include assisting with participant recruitment, survey administration on Qualtrics, data organization, providing compensation to participants, and scheduling interviews. Duties are more complex in nature and require a high degree of responsibility, judgment, and attention to detail. The student will work closely with the project lead to ensure tasks are completed accurately, professionally, and on schedule. Pay range is $16.30-$16.45 per hour based on qualifications and experiences. Contact Sarah Fishel at [email protected] with questions.

Requirements

  • Graduate student (physical therapy or related field preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accurate data management
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to use sound judgment and handle information responsibly
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in research support, administrative work, or clinical/healthcare-related environments
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics
  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential information
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or comfort coordinating tasks

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with recruitment efforts for study participants using approved communication methods
  • Supporting survey administration, including tracking completion and responding to participant questions within defined guidelines
  • Managing and organizing project-related data using secure and accurate data practices
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and documentation for participant tracking and issuing compensation
  • Scheduling and coordinating interviews, including confirming availability and sending reminders
  • Communicating professionally with participants and campus partners as needed
  • Identifying issues or inconsistencies in tracking systems and notifying the supervisor promptly
  • Supporting time-sensitive project tasks and meeting established deadlines
