About The Position

We are currently searching for an outstanding Research Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant (PA) , Nurse Practitioner (NP) ) to perform patient care and s cientific research services in support of research performed at the National Heart, Lun g and Blood Institute ’s ( NHLBI ) . This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD . F unction within a team of clinical providers and research support staff to support the coordination and execution of NHLBI research protocols. S upport biomedical research protocols . C ollabora te with interdisciplinary team, patients and families to enhance clinical practice and care. Facilitat e learning for patients and families . P erform medical management of patients incorporating critical thinking skills with advanced clinical practice and research skills by integrating experiential knowledge and evidence -based practices

Requirements

Master’s degree
2+ years of experience supporting clinical trials and/or research initiatives
Must have experience working with both adult and pediatric patient s
Has an active Maryland lice nse (NP or PA) to practice within the respective discipline or is scheduled to sit for the certification examination

Nice To Haves

Recent experience in hematology, oncology, or stem cell transplant and/or biomedical research is beneficial but not
Specialized e xperience with Family Medicine and/ or a FNP certification is a plus
Be able to work in a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
