About The Position

As a Reporting and Analytics Business Analyst, you will play a key role in establishing the organization’s reporting best practices and promoting the use of effective and reliable dynamic reporting. Working within the new Global Reporting Center of Excellence, you will support the organization’s evolving reporting ecosystem, working with the Business and IS to create and maintain reporting accuracy, clarity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with transactional and analytical reporting
  • Practical experience with requirement gathering and documentation
  • Practical experience with data analysis, data aggregation and data modeling
  • Demonstrated understanding of how reporting relates to and supports business goals and strategy.
  • Established relationship-building and communication acumen across all levels of an organization
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and an ability to interpret complex data.
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including requirements, queries, reports, and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the delivery of certified reporting by acting as a liaison between Business users and IS while maintaining reporting and data standards
  • Work closely with business users to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and facilitate delivery of actionable insights
  • Partner with technical resources to develop requirements, reports and data sets
  • Evaluate reporting requests, review against existing reporting and work with the business to ensure delivered reports meet the needs while avoiding duplicative/competing reporting
  • Proactively analyze reporting content, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in redundancy reduction, efficiency and productivity
  • Review and refine datasets used by the business for self-service reporting, providing consultation and recommendations on leading and best data practices
  • Use analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to process improvements.
