About The Position

The Rentals Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of company-owned and customer equipment. This role ensures that all equipment is safe, functional, and available to meet customer demands by coordinating service operations, managing personnel, maintaining inventory, and supporting vendor relationships. The Rentals Field Manager plays a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring quality control, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 as business needs demand.

  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the repair and maintenance of company-owned and customer equipment, including organization of yard status (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down).
  • Prepare and coordinate work schedules and service calls to meet customer needs and ensure equipment availability.
  • Order, track, and manage parts inventory to maintain appropriate supply levels.
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical support to service technicians and mechanics.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to understand maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment.
  • Evaluate and inspect all equipment following repairs, maintenance, or safety checks.
  • Document equipment condition and status before and after rental periods.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to equipment condition or performance.
  • Promote and enforce safety awareness and compliance across all operations.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate, organized equipment service records and documentation.
  • Create, update, close, and bill work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • File and manage warranty claims efficiently.
  • Commission and integrate new equipment into the fleet.
  • Manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory control processes.
  • Oversee proper disposal of solid and hazardous waste materials (including batteries, used oil and filters, antifreeze, and wash sludge) in accordance with regulations.
  • Generate and analyze reports, including: Equipment uptime and downtime, Open work orders, Warranty claim summaries, Parts inventory and usage, Service department financial performance, Open purchase orders, Technician productivity (paid vs. worked hours).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
