Renewable Energy Technician - Multiple Levels [On-Site]

This position, under specific direction from the site manager or his/her designee, performs unsupervised field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on one or more types of renewable energy generators. The scope includes full system installation, commissioning, maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting of power and energy systems. The Technician 3 may lead teams on routine tasks. The Technician 3 is expected to have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a renewable energy asset. Technician 3 demonstrates proficiency in using advanced diagnostic tools, understanding of system software, and familiarity with the latest industry standards. Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory four (4) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. This position is onsite at our Camp Grove site located in Wyoming, IL.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and lead site safety assessments.
- Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation.
- Attend all required safety and technical training.
- Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies.
- Technician levels 2-5 participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification.
