Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards.
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and structures to heights of over 300 feet (91 meters) and work at those heights and in confined spaces.
Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain) and in an electrical-mechanical environment with high voltage/stored energy.
Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Due to weight restrictions for fall-arrest equipment, the maximum employee weight must not exceed 285 lbs.
1 to 2 years in renewable energy or similar discipline.
Basic knowledge of schematics, multi-meter use, and electrical/mechanical components.
2+ years renewable energy experience.
Deep competency in generation theory.
Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards and have competency in system software and industry standards.
2-4 years of renewable energy experience.
Advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, and NEC.
Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools.
Advanced working knowledge of wind/ solar industry best practices and the ability to effectively coach, instruct, and train less experienced technicians.
Working knowledge of the NEC and OSHA regulations.
Minimum of 5 years of renewable energy experience.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and lead site safety assessments.
Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly.
Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation.
Attend all required safety and technical training.
Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies.
Technician levels 2-5 participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification.
Performs preventative maintenance independently and conducts routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades.
Responsible for independent preventative maintenance .
Participates in the 24-hour " On Call " rotation.
Performs unsupervised routine and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and leads teams on routine tasks.
Unsupervised execution of all corrective/preventative maintenance.
May train and oversee Techs 1 & 2.
Performs unsupervised advanced corrective and preventative maintenance and leads major repairs.
Acts as a subject matter expert (SME).
Trains and signs off on the competency of Techs 1-3.
Assists with overseeing site crews/contractors in manager absence.
