Remote Manager-Training and Education, Hospice A Clinical License is required; Registered Nurse is strongly preferred, along with 5+yrs of Hospice experience and 1+ yrs of supervisory/leadership experience over Corporate education and training. Agency: Alternate Solutions Health Network. llc Location: Remote with up to 50%travel SUMMARY The Manager of Hospice Training and Education provides indirect leadership and standardized support for Hospice Preceptors across all hospice agencies to ensure consistent delivery of clinical and operational training for new hire orientation, field training, role-based onboarding, and ongoing hospice competencies. This role owns the development, maintenance, and implementation of hospice education materials and training programs designed to ensure clinical, regulatory, and operational excellence. The Manager of Hospice Education leads enterprise-wide training efforts for corporate and field-based hospice staff and will, as the service line grows, oversee a team of Clinical Training Specialists who support local and enterprise training needs. This position works closely with Clinical Quality, Compliance, Operations, and Executive Directors to ensure training programs meet organizational expectations, Conditions of Participation, and performance outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Education Program Management Accountable for coordination, support, and indirect leadership of Hospice Preceptors to drive training effectiveness and onboarding consistency across all hospice agencies. Maintain and continuously update hospice education programs, including: Clinical new hire orientation Role-specific onboarding pathways Annual and ongoing clinical competencies Documentation standards and EMR workflow education Interdisciplinary team training Ensure educational content is aligned with hospice regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Training Delivery & Field Integration Partner with site Preceptors and Executive Directors to ensure appropriate role-based training offerings and opportunities for field staff. Lead the design and deployment of classroom, virtual, skills-based, and field training modalities for all hospice disciplines. Evaluate emerging training needs and identify gaps related to education, role readiness, and regulatory compliance. Act as liaison with Preceptors and site leadership to improve training alignment and clarify expectations. Content Development & Maintenance Own all hospice educational materials including curricula, competencies, manuals, e-learning content, and standardized training workflows. Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Clinical Quality, EMR/IT, and Operations to ensure content remains accurate and updated. Recommend and implement improvements to education systems, processes, and learning technologies. Program Oversight & Continuous Improvement Organize and allocate Preceptors to support market-level and system-level education activities. Identify risks and escalate concerns related to onboarding, training readiness, new initiatives, and role transitions. Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for hospice care delivery initiatives and performance improvement projects. Serve as a strong influence for field staff success, competency, and quality outcomes based on training delivered. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Provide indirect management and functional oversight of Hospice Preceptors at each hospice location (with Preceptors maintaining reporting relationships to Executive Directors). Lead, coach, and develop Clinical Training Specialists (future-state team), including performance evaluations, workflow oversight, and approval of expenses, PTO, and schedule needs. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of hospice training programs to ensure all materials reflect current Conditions of Participation, hospice care practices, and organizational standards. Facilitate monthly calls with Executive Directors, Clinical Managers, and Preceptors to reinforce training standards, address barriers, and align on program updates. Manage allocation of Corporate Training Specialists to support internal and field training needs. Support hiring, onboarding, and performance monitoring of direct reports (future state). Contribute to the long-term development and maturity of the Hospice Education program and training infrastructure. QUALIFICATIONS Required Clinical licensure required; Registered Nurse strongly preferred. Minimum of five years hospice experience. Minimum of one year of supervisory, education, or training leadership experience (three years preferred). Demonstrated understanding of hospice regulatory requirements, Conditions of Participation, and interdisciplinary team operations. Experience with adult learning principles and instructional delivery. Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and lead training across multiple locations. Comfort with learning management platforms, EMR systems, and training technologies. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education, or related field. Experience in multi-site or corporate-level education leadership. Strong facilitation and process improvement skills. Experience with EMR systems commonly used in hospice (e.g., HCHB, myUnity). EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS Current clinical licensure required; Registered Nurse preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred (Nursing, Education, or related).
