About The Position

As a Remanufacturing Technician II, you will utilize your experience in repair work to support the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of vending machines and coolers. This role involves using various tools and techniques to ensure equipment is prepared for the next steps in the remanufacturing process, while also mentoring junior technicians and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Remanufacturing Technicians II must be able to perform all tasks conducted by Remanufacturing Technicians I in the assembly process and may also rotate through all or most of the process rather than being assigned a specific task.

Requirements

  • Follow all prescribed safety and security measures protecting all associates and company assets
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, especially drills
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective quality management and technical skills needed
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to utilize all company provided resources and technology
  • Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance within company guidelines
  • High school diploma or general education degree or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs
  • Continuous bending, kneeling squatting, grasping, reaching, fine manipulation and exposure to chemicals and noise

Responsibilities

  • Follow prescribed safety measures and procedures.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve daily goals
  • Visually inspect and share feedback on defects to complete like-new appearance
  • Replace headers and decals as needed
  • Repair, replace or replenish missing parts such as lightbulbs, shelf clips, shelves, door gaskets, grills and change door orientation
  • Use diagnostic tools and other tests to analyze cooling, wiring and mechanical issues
  • Paint coolers and vending machines using appropriate techniques and materials.
  • Prepare or package finished products for shipping.
