  • Successful completion of START Technician-Reliability Lead training program or have verifiable experience
  • Monitors and participates in operations for assigned areas including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, inspecting contractor’s work to ensure safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times
  • Coordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as needed
  • Ensures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.
  • Learn and use tufting computer system to that is related to the job
  • Learn and use Sharp/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions
  • Directs the work order system as follows: Maintain work order database (MP2) on Reliability Tech Lead computer. Performed the schedule and organize work orders with the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and reliability lead. Communicate with Department Managers, process Engineer and Supervisors to clarify work orders. Specify for the requisition materials needed to complete approved work orders using the PeopleSoft System. Assign work orders to specific maintenance associates. Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Inspects work for completeness.
  • Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease Turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

  • Lead, supervise, and provide training/guidance to lower level technician-mechanics
  • Report to management any quality and safety problems and potential production problems that are encountered while performing the job

  • Lead the scheduled LCL cleaning duties of the LCL machines.

  • Must be able to demonstrate good computer skills including but not limited to TPM/Sharp, Excel, searching the Internet, etc.
  • Work cooperatively with other maintenance employees
  • Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts and overtime as necessary up to 7 days
  • Must have satisfactory work history as defined in personnel file
  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral to management and other mechanics
  • Must attend shift first-day-back safety meetings
  • Must comply with all company policies
  • Must meet all requirements to drive/ operate company vehicle on company business
  • Must attend all training/development as required by facility management
  • Must practice good housekeeping skills

  • Must be able to work in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees for limited periods of time

  • Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations

  • Must be able to work on facility roofs as necessary
  • Must be able to work near moving electrical machine parts and near live electrical systems

  • Must be able to pass certification for driving powered industrial trucks (including forks, squeeze, pole, articulating lifts, scissors lifts, etc.)

  • Must attend all training/development classes as required by facility management
