About The Position

The Reliability Engineer at Mondelēz International is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted site manufacturing and support activities, maintaining 100% compliance with local legal regulations, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment management systems and standards. This role involves the management and maintenance of site facilities, buildings, and equipment (hardware & software). Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a strategic Facilities road-map and annual operating plan, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement goals. The engineer will establish strong governance for operational performance and continuous improvement, lead building and facilities maintenance programs, and ensure adherence to business continuity plans and manufacturing standards. A significant part of the role is providing leadership and coaching to the Facilities team on IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma methodologies, focusing on achieving zero breakdowns through preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, technical mastery, and condition-based monitoring (CBM). The position also involves role modeling company values, building technical/engineering team capabilities, managing people succession and resource plans, and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts, Safety & GMP standards
  • An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment, PM (Progressive Maintenance) expertise, Spare parts management, SAP PM module end user knowledge, Technology & Engineering automation basics.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team building
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to implement Predictive and Condition Based Strategies utilizing Ultrasonic Testing, IR Scanning, Vibration Technology, Lubrication optimization and testing and Best-Practices techniques.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance associates on equipment optimization and reliability development.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, project management and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a comprehensive understanding of maintenance workflows: Mechanical System Troubleshooting, Mechanical Drive Systems, Conveyance systems, PD and Centrifugal pumps, High speed rotating equipment, Pneumatic conveying systems, Pneumatics, Electrical, Hydraulics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of process controls and instrumentation, spanning: Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, programming ladder logic, P&IDs, PFDs, and other technical documentation, Ability to safely and effectively use electrical troubleshooting devices, Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC's, VFD’s, Industrial networking, HMI’s: Wonderware, and AB Panel view, Servo and motion controls, Process Instrumentation: RTD’s, Pressure transducers, Level Transmitters, Thermocouples, etc., General Electronic Trouble Shooting Skills.
  • Engineering degree preferred, or a minimum of 10 years in industrial maintenance with a proven ability to lead teams and manage the end-to-end maintenance and troubleshooting of fully automated production environments.
  • Knowledge of and strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), GMP and FSQA programs.
  • Ability to address problem solving in a team setting.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/SAP) skills.
  • Understanding of; inventory control, spare parts management, and overhaul procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering degree preferred
  • Experience with high-speed packaging machinery preferred.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices, RCM, CBM, TBM, IL6S, MRO preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works cross functionally to develop and implement a strategic Facilities road-map and annual operating plan which is a competitive advantage to Mondelēz.
  • Partner with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to define and meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals.
  • Establish a strong governance to review & control Operational performance and continuous Improvement plan to deliver against best in class both internally and externally.
  • Lead and be accountable that Building Maintenance program, Facilities maintenance program capabilities, including maintenance repairs & overall operations are in place.
  • Accountable to insure adherence to business continuity plan, manufacturing standards government regulations are understood by all employees/services providers at the site, regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
  • Provide leadership, coaching to Facilities team towards implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.
  • Role model Values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and builds skills capability across the Plant technical/engineering team to engage with latest modern practices.
  • Have a clear people succession and resource plan, for the asset & technology population , identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain and develop critical talent
  • Interface with key stakeholders internally and externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives, and goals.
  • Condition Based Monitoring (CBM), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Predictive Maintenance including continual development of these strategies, a strategy that focuses on optimizing plant GE.
  • Preventative Maintenance with focus to improve “Uptime” or “Runtime” preventive maintenance processes.
  • Conduct and at times lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Breakdown Analysis (BDA) investigations to reduce/eliminate reoccurring catastrophic downtime, extending MTBB and reducing MTTR.
  • Produce, audit and improve Preventive Maintenance tasks and processes.
  • Maximize MRO asset life cycles by streamlining inventory management—including strategic sourcing, improved organization, and dependable vendor partnerships.
