About The Position

As an employee of the Atlanta Fed, you will help support our mission of promoting the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy and financial system. Your work will affect the economy of the Southeast, the United States, and the world. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta territory covers the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which includes Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Atlanta Fed and the other Reserve Banks play an important part in all three of the Fed's functions: monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and the operation of a nationwide payment system. At the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, we rely on the unique individual talents, expertise, and valued perspectives of our employees as well as those of external stakeholders to carry out our mission as part of the nation's central bank. This is a paid internship for the 2026 Summer Program, and summer housing will not be provided. The role is temporary and full-time, though it requires 15-20 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, with a possibility of extension to the Spring semester, and a minimum of 15 hours per week onsite.

Requirements

  • Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor’s degree program through the duration of the internship
  • Minimum cumulative GPA above 2.75 in academically rigorous curriculum
  • Must be committed to working 15-20 hours a week for 10-12 weeks
  • Minimum of 15hrs a week onsite
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong technical skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Great work ethic and detail oriented
  • Comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, research, and manage data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Research prospective businesses
  • Assist with administrative processes and documentation updates
