About The Position

The successful candidate will be expected to: Responsible for maintaining knowledge of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Self Direction (SD) program’s regulations and requirements related to expense reimbursements. Review incoming SD reimbursement to ensure OPWDD regulatory compliance Maintain an updated knowledgebase of program regulations and requirements pertaining to reimbursements Communicate timely and effectively with staff, participants, designated representatives, and brokers for necessary clarification when reviewing reimbursements. Verify reimbursements against budgets and determine fund availability. Code approved invoices with appropriate general ledger codes. Provide solutions for disputed invoices. Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience working in an environment which requires strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions independently is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Problem solving.
  • Microsoft Office, Excel and database experience required.
  • Strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a diverse populations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and identify the need for escalation.

Responsibilities
