About The Position

Summary/Objective Assists therapists with patients as assigned. Prepares and removes hot packs, ice packs, and estim, cleans equipment, takes vitals. job duties will include assisting the therapists in treatment set up, clean up, monitoring exercises, gathering equipment, maintaining clean linen supply, and other duties as assigned. This position may have rotating shifts with typical hours 7:30 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5:30 pm and will require some weekend shifts as well. Essential Functions Assists PT in managing treatment schedule, providing treatment/care as directed and supervised by the PT and/or PTA Responsible for treatment set up and breakdown as indicated Continuous equipment cleaning to ensure sanitary treatment environment Maintains the treatment gym in a manner that is welcoming, greets patients/guests upon arrival and notifies therapist of patient arrival Pulls and files patient flowsheets for daily treatment Maintains clean linen supply and hot pack covers Monitors hot pack and freezer temperatures and logs Other duties as required. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED. Current, valid AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS). Basic knowledge of computer applications including data. Preferred Education and Experience At least one (1) Year experience preferred. Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full Time position in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holidays and weekends may be required based on the needs of the patient. Working during inclement weather will be required. Must be willing or provide a bility to work overtime. Shifts may vary, but working hours may be up to approximately 12 hours. Physical Requirements: Must be able to maneuver up to 25 Must be able to stretch, climb, crawl, walk, run, bend, twist, and squat – all Sufficient sight (including color discrimination), manual dexterity and mobility to function Ability to work in a controlled Must be able to stoop and retrieve objects from floor level without Must be able to sit for long periods; must be able to stand for short May be required to climb ladders/stools to heights of three (3) feet or Must have full use of hands and arms in order to balance, feel, manipulate, and operate knobs and Must have visual acuity to view data on computer screen for long periods of time and read computer generated reports. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
