REHABILITATION AIDE
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff, assists the therapists in routine tasks for therapeutic treatment of patients. Assists the department supervisor/manager in coordinating the overall department’s function and maintenance. Requirements
- Minimum Education - Preferred High School diploma/GED preferred.
- Minimum Work Experience One (1) year healthcare–related experience preferred. Previous rehabilitation experience desirable.
- Previous coursework, participation in work or volunteer experience in the area of health, fitness or athletics required
- Required Classes/Skills - BLS - Basic Life Support
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
- INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
Nice To Haves
- Previous rehabilitation experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- CLERICAL DUTIES: Performs clerical duties to assist with daily operations of the department including scheduling, answering phones, calling patients, inventory, photocopying, filing, medicare and CPM tracking, data collection, mail and faxes, etc
- ENVIRONMENT AND DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE/INFECTION CONTROL Assists in the maintenance of the department’s overall physical environment and infection control including cleaning equipment, temperature monitoring, pool chemistry, linen supply, area inspections
- TREATMENT Provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate under the direct supervision of clinical staff.
- DOCUMENTATION Completes all documentation of services per department standards
- BILLING Enters daily charges in a timely and accurate manner according to department standards
