About The Position

Under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff, assists the therapists in routine tasks for therapeutic treatment of patients. Assists the department supervisor/manager in coordinating the overall department’s function and maintenance. Requirements

  • Minimum Education - Preferred High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Minimum Work Experience One (1) year healthcare–related experience preferred. Previous rehabilitation experience desirable.
  • Previous coursework, participation in work or volunteer experience in the area of health, fitness or athletics required
  • Required Classes/Skills - BLS - Basic Life Support
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)
  • INSTRUCTOR- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rehabilitation experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • CLERICAL DUTIES: Performs clerical duties to assist with daily operations of the department including scheduling, answering phones, calling patients, inventory, photocopying, filing, medicare and CPM tracking, data collection, mail and faxes, etc
  • ENVIRONMENT AND DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE/INFECTION CONTROL Assists in the maintenance of the department’s overall physical environment and infection control including cleaning equipment, temperature monitoring, pool chemistry, linen supply, area inspections
  • TREATMENT Provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate under the direct supervision of clinical staff.
  • DOCUMENTATION Completes all documentation of services per department standards
  • BILLING Enters daily charges in a timely and accurate manner according to department standards
  • Technology: Embraces technological solutions to work processes and practices
  • Technology and Learning a - Participates in continued learning and possess a willingness and ability to learn and utilize new technology and procedures that continue to develop in their role and throughout the organization. b - Embraces technological advances that allow us to communicate information effectively and efficiently based on role.
