Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience as an aide and/or other health care experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently Good interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Candidate should be motivated, self directed and have strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervisor and as directed by lcensed therapists, carries out treatment techniques.
  • Assists patients in ambulation, transfers, mobility activities, ADL's, exercise programs, functional cognitive/communication and leisure activities utilizing appropriate techniques.
  • Communications daily with licensed therapists regarding patient treatment plans.
  • Receives treatment plans from a licensed therapist for each treatment assigned.
  • Performs routine duties as assigned.
  • Ensures treatment areas are sanitary and tidy according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Attends job related training events.
  • Attends inservices and meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Demonstrates flexibility with work assignments.
  • Provides weekday and weekend coverage for rehab continuum in accordance with schedule.
