As a Regulatory Specialist, you will provide essential regulatory support across documentation, compliance, and research activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of regulatory data while supporting internal teams in developing and delivering compliant product solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in food, flavor, ingredients, or related consumer goods industry.
  • Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and basic flavor/ingredient regulations preferred.
  • Experience preparing regulatory documents is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret basic regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and regulatory database systems; experience with Salesforce and Product Vision preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update regulatory documents, including TDS, SDS, allergen statements, nutritional information, GMO documentation, certificates, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory data within internal systems and databases.
  • Support capturing and updating raw material documentation.
  • Respond to documentation requests from Customers, Sales, R&D, Customer Service, and customer documentation portals.
  • Conduct basic regulatory reviews of formulations, labels, and raw materials under supervision.
  • Assist with ingredient qualification and regulatory data collection.
  • Support regulatory assessments for new product development projects.
  • Help ensure documentation aligns with U.S. and international regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and help assess potential impacts to products or processes.
  • Conduct research to support regulatory interpretation, compliance projects, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Procurement/Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to address routine regulatory questions.
  • Provide documentation for internal stakeholders and customer interactions.
  • Assist with audit preparation, customer visits, and compliance reviews as assigned.
