About The Position

This position is responsible for performing the more complex licensing activities which includes determination of applicant eligibility for examination, certification, licensure or registration for various professions within the department.

Requirements

  • Must have experience or knowledge of processing applications in compliance with local, state or federal guidelines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have a working knowledge of DBPR licensing business processes

Responsibilities

  • Independently reviews applications and supporting documents assigned through the department's document imaging system to determine applicants' qualifications for examination, certification, licensure or registration in accordance with the laws and rules.
  • Conducts research that requires extensive, higher level knowledge, knowledge of operating systems as well as business process requirements within the single licensing and document imaging systems.
  • Processes applications by utilizing the department's licensing system.
  • Assists with training employees.
  • Participates in meetings and attends training sessions as scheduled. Participates in the testing of new application software and changes in processing procedures. Reports events, errors or trends to supervisor.
