Regulatory Science Seeds and Traits is responsible for the design and conduct of regulatory studies in support of global deregulation and approval of seed and trait agriculture products across crops. These studies provide the basis for regulatory safety assessments of our products worldwide. Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences field.
  • Possess 3 years of relevant experience in a relevant field or laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrate hands on experience developing and executing protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory techniques including, but not limited to ELISA protein quantitation, immunological detection, and/or functional activity assays.
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to experimental design and execution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in simple data analysis.
  • Are able to collaborate efficiently with team members to share technical information, achieve common goals, and complete projects efficiently.
  • Have hands-on and are pragmatic with strong self-organization, motivation, and planning skills.
  • Display willingness and flexibility to learn new techniques and work within a dynamic team environment.
  • Have software proficiency in: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and other scientific programs as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience working under GLPs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a laboratory analyst on GLP protein and product related safety studies, ensuring compliance with defined quality standards.
  • Authoring study protocols and reports and interpreting and summarizing data while serving as Study Director, Principal Investigator, Study Monitor, or Analyst for Regulatory work.
  • Identifying and resolving technical problems independently within their area of responsibility and knowledge.
  • Supervising the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and being responsible for making recommendations for appropriate laboratory equipment procurement and implementation.
  • Representing the RSS Protein Team through engagement in cross-functional or global initiatives improving ways of working, regulatory strategy, or operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining knowledge of relevant internal databases, and relevant software requiring advanced computer skills through regular training and use.
  • Ensuring compliance with all existing safety and biosafety standards through regular training and application of EHS practices.
