The Regulatory and External Affairs Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s compliance with federal and state regulations. As a Regulatory and External Affairs Analyst, this professional is responsible for the collection, analysis, and submission of data for a variety of regulatory filings, including tariffs and subsidy programs. The Regulatory and External Affairs Analyst is a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives both independently and in collaboration with internal departments to guarantee that all reporting is accurate, timely, and complete. Through these efforts, the Regulatory and External Affairs Analyst helps the organization meet its regulatory obligations and maintain operational integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a financial, regulatory, or compliance-focused role. preferably within the telecommunications or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data query tools and/or reporting software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit reports to federal and state agencies by compiling and analyzing financial and operational data, ensuring accuracy through quality checks.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and help translate new requirements into actionable reporting steps.
  • Support the preparation and submission of tariff filings by validating required data and documentation for compliance.
  • Assist with data collection for reimbursement, monitor policy changes, and support audits to maintain program integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency and contribute to the development of automated workflows.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and IT to gather data and resolve reporting issues through clear communication.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
