About The Position

This is a regular student technical position serving as “Student Multimedia Specialist” which will assist with all aspects of technology training and will support the Multimedia Services department division of the Office of Information Technology within the College of Liberal Arts.
Hours per Week
Up to 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Experience in delivering high quality customer service that includes a grasp on professional communication and telephone etiquette.
• Experience with AV equipment such as laptops, projectors, cameras, tripods, microphones, PA systems, etc.
• Familiarity with Apple Final Cut and other video editing and encoding/transcoding software.
• The desired candidate must be responsible, reliable, dependable, and punctual; must have knowledge of administrative and clerical systems such as Word Processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. The desired candidate must have sensitivity of intercultural communication and good interpersonal skills; must have some knowledge of audio visual technology and multimedia applications; and must be able to work well with others on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT in providing a high level of customer service to faculty, staff, and students at UCO.
• Assist with multimedia requests, set up audio visual equipment for presentations, troubleshoot and maintain multimedia equipment across campus.
• Assist staff with the audio visual equipment check out program and streaming media services.
• Assist technology trainers with room setup for training classes.
• Light cleaning duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
