About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support a high-acuity adult critical care environment at a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trauma care, mechanical ventilation management, and advanced respiratory therapies for adult and geriatric patient populations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Adult Critical Care experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Strong knowledge of respiratory medications including but not limited to: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Performist, Racemic Epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline, Tobramycin, Xopenex, and others
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care License

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in critical care settings
• Perform airway management procedures including extubation, suctioning, nasal and oral airway placement, and tracheostomy care
• Deliver pulmonary hygiene therapies and collect sputum specimens
• Administer respiratory medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, handheld nebulizers, T-piece, trach collar, metered dose inhalers, and Medihalers
• Manage oxygen delivery systems including high-flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy
• Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP, CPAP)
• Assist with mechanical ventilation management, alarm troubleshooting, and ventilator weaning
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
