About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a permanent night-shift opportunity in Sanford, Florida. The Registered Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with departmental standards and state scope of practice. This role supports patients requiring invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services across the continuum of care. This opportunity also offers exposure to vascular access skill development.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential for the position you are applying for.
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and active state RRT license required.
  • Open to new graduate RRTs who have recently passed boards or are awaiting official licensure (no prior respiratory experience).
  • Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree or equivalent) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment start.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment start.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of employment start.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of employment start.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document respiratory assessments including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory status and response to therapy.
  • Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and intervene appropriately for adverse reactions.
  • Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.
