About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a permanent night-shift opportunity in Oviedo, Florida. The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with departmental standards and state scope of practice. This role supports acutely ill patients requiring invasive and noninvasive ventilation and plays a critical role in emergency response, airway management, and respiratory diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential for the position you are applying for.
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required (CRT does not qualify).
  • Minimum of 1 year of RRT experience required (L&D or critical care experience strongly preferred).
  • Associate Degree required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment start.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 6 months of employment start.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment start.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of employment start.
  • Active state Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP) license required.

Nice To Haves

  • L&D or critical care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document patient respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory status and response to therapy.
  • Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and intervene appropriately for adverse reactions.
  • Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients.
  • Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity and effective ventilation during resuscitation.
