About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care to critically ill patients in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong ICU experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked with cardiac patient populations. The therapist will function independently while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary clinical teams.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active state Respiratory Therapy license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience within the last 3 years
• ICU experience required
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a cardiac ICU or cardiac-focused patient population
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and unit needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced respiratory care to adult ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and provide airway support in critical care environments
• Administer respiratory therapies and treatments per physician orders
• Monitor patient response and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate
• Assist with emergency interventions and rapid response situations
• Accurately document patient care and clinical data
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
