About The Position

Registered Respiratory Therapist II – Advance Your Career with Johns Hopkins Medicine. Under general supervision, you will assess and recommend treatments for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, using your expertise to administer advanced respiratory therapies. From medical gas therapy, bronchial hygiene, and mechanical ventilation to emergency resuscitation and airway management, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care. Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of critical care experience is required.
  • Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Required
  • Maryland State License to Practice Respiratory Care – Required
  • BLS – Required
  • Competence in operating and maintaining departmental ventilators, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), aerosolized medication systems, oxygen and compressed gas systems, nitric oxide administration systems, bronchopulmonary hygiene equipment, and devices used in the care of artificial and natural airways.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS – Preferred
  • NBRC Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) – Preferred

Responsibilities
