We currently offer an opportunity for a full time days, Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patients in our acute care hospital in Parma. These skills include assessment skills, and the active assessment of respiratory therapies needed and procedures according to the respiratory protocols.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
  • Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)
  • NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)
  • 3+ years RRT experience. (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
  • American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred)
  • Previous work in a hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Medicated aerosol delivery
  • Airway clearance therapy
  • Patient monitoring
  • Oxygen and humidity therapy
  • Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
