AHRC NYC is seeking to hire a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) for their Day Program in Brooklyn.

Requirements

New York State License as a Registered Nurse required.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
CPR certified (AHRC can provide training if needed).

Nice To Haves

Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform the duties of licensed registered nurse for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Maintain health records.
Disseminate important proactive health information to staff and families.
Train staff in OSHA, first aid and medication support.
Lead the team in the health and safety.
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention in accordance with AHRC and ADS policies, OPWDD regulations and standards of the professional registered nurse.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews as required.
Understand the Scope of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses and required supervision needed for LPN and non-licensed staff such as AMAP.
Supervise staff providing care, including AMAP's and LPN's.
