About The Position
This RN role supports Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath services, providing minimally invasive procedural care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse serves as a key liaison for referrals and patient coordination, conducts assessments, participates in consultations, and collaborates closely with interventional radiologists and medical staff. The unit performs advanced procedures including cardiac catheterizations, EP ablations, peripheral and cerebral angiograms, and TEE/cardioversions. On-call coverage is required approximately 8–10 days per month.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in cardiac cath and interventional radiology required.
- Experience administering moderate sedation is required.
- Active Illinois RN license required at submission.
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
- COVID and flu vaccinations are mandatory (no declinations).
- Agency Illinois nursing license must be included in submission.
- Complete profile documentation, including skills checklist and supervisory references, is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel and Cerner experience are highly preferred.
