About The Position

- The Registered Nurse (RN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of compassionate and effective care, promoting the mental and physical well-being of patients. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment while adhering to the highest standards of nursing practice.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
0-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.
Experience in providing patient care in a clinical environment.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare-related software.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental and physical health status upon admission and throughout their stay.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
Monitor and document patients' progress, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health management.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by following safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
Serve as a resource and mentor to other nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health nursing.
