About The Position

ProMedica has implemented a tiered-model structure for nurses, offering full-time, part-time, and per diem options to provide greater flexibility in work schedules. This Resource Pool model aims to foster staff development, enhance patient care, and address staffing shortages across hospitals. The Registered Nurse (RN) is central to ProMedica’s patient care team, delivering patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for diverse human experiences. ProMedica nurses are committed to improving health outcomes for patients and communities. As a coordinator of patient care, the RN will engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. Responsibilities include assessing and formulating nursing diagnoses, and planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. This role involves collaborative work with fellow nurses and support staff to achieve patient care goals, ultimately striving to improve patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current State license as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR training
  • Specialty certifications as required by individual nursing units
  • Complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during his/her licensure period (for RN in Ohio)
  • At least 1 hour of contact hours must be related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules (for RN in Ohio)
  • A Tier 3 Resource Pool RN will be required to be available to work at all participating hospitals utilizing the Resource Pool model including Toledo Hospital, Flower Hospital, Bay Park Hospital, Fremont Memorial Hospital, Fostoria Community Hospital and Monroe Regional Hospital
