About The Position

The Spring 2026 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the residency is scheduled to start on April 6, 2026. This position is for experienced RN's wanting to go into an Emergency Care Residency with a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting. Applications must be completed and submitted via the Internet only. Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. Register your interest in the event that an Emergency Care Residency takes place. Placement, interview, and location preferences are not guaranteed. The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to emergency care nursing. Estimated pay range for this position is $38.87 - 50.14 / hour depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Current FL RN License
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider
  • 1 year of current RN experience in a hospital setting (required)
  • Copy of Nursing Diploma or Unofficial Transcript indicating the nursing degree awarded
  • Copy of FL RN license
  • Copy of BLS for Healthcare Provider card. BLS must be current until 7/2026 or later.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. All Associate Degree nurses hires accepted into the program must agree to achieve their BSN degree within 3 years of start date.
