About The Position

RESPONSIBLE FOR DELIVERY OF PATIENT CARE THROUGH THE NURSING PROCESS OF
ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, AND EVALUATION.

DIRECTS AND GUIDES PATIENT TEACHING AND ACTIVITIES OF NURSING ANCILLARY
PERSONNEL.

ASSUMES A LEAD ROLE IN PATIENT TEACHING. PLACES THE PATIENT AT THE CENTER OF
CARE PRACTICES.

COLLABORATES AND INTERACTS POSITIVELY WITH THE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM TO
PROVIDE QUALITY CARE AND ACHIEVE DESIRED OUTCOMES.

MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK OTHER PATIENT CARE UNITS OR SHIFTS ACCORDING TO
DISTRIBUTION OF STAFF, PATIENTS, AND/OR PATIENT ACUITY.

Requirements

• Ability to work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN.

Nice To Haves

• BSN PREFERRED.
• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of nursing ancillary personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.
