About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for providing direct care on 5 Main, which is a Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry unit. This unit provides acute nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The Registered Nurse's responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process in the provision of care, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and communication skills, exhibiting flexibility, participating in quality improvement activities, and fostering professional growth. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients who are hemodynamically stable, surgical patients requiring post-operative cardiac monitoring, patients with coronary artery disease awaiting open heart surgery, patients with angina pectoris (with and without cardiac interventions), patients with a diagnosis of heart failure requiring cardiac monitoring, neuro medical patients requiring cardiac monitoring, medical surgical overflow patients not requiring cardiac monitoring, and patients with concurrent mental health needs. The Registered Nurse will also support the physical and emotional health of patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
• Current PA RN license.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• ACLS completed within one year of hire/transfer.
• Clinical rotation through educational program.
• Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Clinical experience evident within the past 3 years or completion of refresher course within the last year.
