REGISTERED NURSE RN - 5 MAIN - TELEMETRY
About The Position
This position is responsible for providing direct care on 5 Main, a Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry unit that delivers acute nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The Registered Nurse's role encompasses the utilization of the nursing process, demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills, exhibiting flexibility, participating in quality improvement activities, and fostering professional growth. The patient population served includes post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients who are hemodynamically stable, surgical patients requiring post-operative cardiac monitoring, patients with coronary artery disease awaiting open heart surgery, patients with angina pectoris (with and without cardiac interventions), patients diagnosed with heart failure requiring cardiac monitoring, neuro medical patients requiring cardiac monitoring, medical surgical overflow patients not requiring cardiac monitoring, and patients with concurrent mental health needs. The Registered Nurse is also tasked with supporting the physical and emotional health of patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
- Current PA RN license.
- Healthcare Provider CPR.
- ACLS completed within one year of hire/transfer.
- Clinical rotation through educational program.
- Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy.

- Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Clinical experience evident within the past 3 years or completion of refresher course within the last year.
