About The Position

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously track, analyze, and interpret EKGs and telemetry data for patients, identifying irregularities and providing accurate documentation. Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients, including medication administration (IV and PO), management of central lines, and wound care. Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations, such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrests, providing immediate intervention. Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans. Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on cardiac conditions, medication regimens, and necessary lifestyle changes prior to discharge. Unit Leadership: Oversee telemetry technicians and collaborate with unit staff to ensure quality care. Qualifications: Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Virginia or compact state. Experience: Previous experience in a hospital telemetry, step-down, or cardiac care setting preferred. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Virginia or compact state.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Proficiency in EKG/telemetry interpretation, critical thinking, and rapid assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a hospital telemetry, step-down, or cardiac care setting preferred.
