Requirements
- Must have an ADN, BSN from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Must have a current CT RN License.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire or transition into the role.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months nursing experience in a clinical setting. Behavioral Health Nursing experience is preferred.
- Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse. Certification from a professional nursing body is preferred. BLS is required.
- General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Successfully complete all training programs as determined by Education & HRD department. Other unit based competencies/skills as required.
- Successfully complete SR Behavioral based competencies
- Must be able to successfully attend and complete verbal and physical de-escalation training.
Nice To Haves
- BSN from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Behavioral Health Nursing experience is preferred.
- Certification from a professional nursing body is preferred.
