Requirements

  • Must have an ADN, BSN from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Must have a current CT RN License.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire or transition into the role.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months nursing experience in a clinical setting. Behavioral Health Nursing experience is preferred.
  • Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse. Certification from a professional nursing body is preferred. BLS is required.
  • General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Successfully complete all training programs as determined by Education & HRD department. Other unit based competencies/skills as required.
  • Successfully complete SR Behavioral based competencies
  • Must be able to successfully attend and complete verbal and physical de-escalation training.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Behavioral Health Nursing experience is preferred.
  • Certification from a professional nursing body is preferred.
