This Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) on the 11B Orthopedic Trauma unit. The 11B unit is a 19-bed unit with all private rooms, providing 24-hour patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The primary focus is on orthopedic trauma injuries and other traumatic injuries requiring surgical intervention. The unit also provides medical overflow care, including CPOX and telemetry monitoring, when needed. 11B operates under the Atrium Health Plan for Nursing, utilizing the Atrium Health Professional Practice Model, the AACN synergy model for care coordination, and Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring as its theoretical framework. Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, recognized throughout the Southeastern United States for its patient care and medical expertise. CMC is the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. It also serves as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, offering residency training for over 200 physicians in 15 specialties and functioning as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill.
