About The Position

This Registered Nurse position is for the 11A Trauma Step-Down unit at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). The 11A unit is a 24-bed facility providing specialized care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest & abdominal trauma, and orthopedic injuries resulting from trauma. CMC is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center. As an RN, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves utilizing evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to create a safe patient environment and ensure the best patient experience. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • 6 months of RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication.
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
